The Advanced Computing Network of Latin America and the Caribbean (SCALAC), in collaboration with RedCLARA, has successfully concluded the latest edition of the Latin American High-Performance Computing Conference (CARLA). The region's leading forum for high-performance computing (HPC), this international event serves as a crucial platform for exchanging innovative ideas, technological advancements, and applications in this field.

Dr. Ekaterina Kostioukhina, a specialist in digital fields and neuropsychology with a medical degree, will present at the TICAL2024 Conference, which takes place from December 3 to 5 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The Government of Guatemala has confirmed its membership in the Latin America and Caribbean Cyber Competence Center (LAC4), with the presence of public officials from the Executive Branch and international experts from LAC4, following efforts by the Presidential Commission for Open and Electronic Government.

The call for Latin American and Caribbean governments, EU delegations in the region, telecommunications and related companies, and all interested parties in the public and private sectors to participate in this RFI, which seeks to determine potential existing and/or planned connectivity infrastructure projects that could have synergies with the objectives of BELLA II in Latin America and the Caribbean, is open until November 5. Questions will be answered from October 2 to 9, 2024.

The BELLA II project has taken a key step towards promoting innovation across Latin America and the Caribbean with the launch of the Innovation Hub and its General Catalogue of Initiatives. This Innovation Hub aims to boost innovative products and services within the region's digital ecosystem. One of the Hub's cornerstones, the catalog, serves as a dynamic resource for showcasing innovative products, providing opportunities to connect with key stakeholders such as governments, businesses, and investors.
