La adopción ética y sostenible de la Inteligencia Artificial (IA) y cómo Colombia y el resto de los países de América Latina y el Caribe pueden convertirse en referentes en ello fueron algunos de los temas discutidos en la 9º edición de los Diálogos Regionales en Inteligencia Artificial promovida por el Ministerio de Ciencia, Tecnología e Innovación de Colombia.

Going beyond traditional virtual events, the new webinar serie of the Latin American University Telemedicine Network (RUTE-AL), from April to November, aims to strengthening the permanent collaborative work in the region. With the support of RedCLARA and its member National Research and Education Networks (NRENs), the serie will have two monthly sessions, featuring multidisciplinary panellists, selected among experts and professors from the member NRENs institutions that make up RUTE-AL, such as RNP (Brazil), CEDIA (Ecuador), RENATA (Colombia), CUDI (Mexico), and REUNA (Chile).

As a follow-up to the outcomes of BELLA Ideathon and in an effort to resolve food insecurity issues in the region, a virtual workshop "Building Solutions for a Resilient Ecosystem in Central America" was organized. The event was coordinated by the European Union, RedCLARA, the BELLA II initiative, with the assistance of FAO, GIZ, IICA, LACNET, and GÉANT.

As part of its activities, the SPIDER project is conducting an online survey on the digital ecosystem's interconnectivity in Europe, Latin America, and the Caribbean (LAC).

To benchmark different investment models based on consortia, identify best practices in this field, and analyze the alternatives or models suitable to promote the BELLA II project, taking into account its intention to promote cooperation between private sector actors, governments, multilateral banks, academia, and communities, RedCLARA and BELLA II invite to participate in a new call for consultancy, open until 28 May 20.
The Latin American Cooperation of Advanced Networks (RedCLARA), in the framework of the implementation of the BELLA II project, calls for the participation in the Consultancy for the "Design of the Methodology for the Evaluation of Investment or Purchase Opportunities". The call is open from 15 April to 21 May 2024.
