La convocatoria de consultoría para el "Diseño y Gestión de Consorcios de Inversión de BELLA II" se amplía hasta el 18 de junio 2024, con el objetivo de fomentar la participación de diversos actores y maximizar el impacto del proyecto. RedCLARA and the Latin American and Caribbean High Performance Computing System (SCALAC) showcased collaborative initiatives leveraging high-performance computing (HPC) for research and sustainable development in Latin America and the Caribbean at the ISC High Performance 2024 conference. The event, held from 12-16 May in Hamburg, Germany, brought together industry professionals, academics, and researchers from around the world.

The celebration of Europe Day in Guatemala was the setting for the presentation of the opportunities that the BELLA II project will bring to the country in terms of connectivity and cooperation in science and technology, as well as the synergies it will bring with the Copernicus Earth Observation programme, including the Copernicus Academy.

The Latin American Cooperation of Advanced Networks (RedCLARA) presented its renewed web portal on May 13. The completely redesigned interfaced provides the quality information required by the National Research and Education Networks (RNIE), the regional community, and the regional ecosystem of science, technology, and innovation, giving a new impetus to collaboration.

La iniciativa busca impulsar y facilitar la actividad astronómica y a otras ciencias afines, en el norte de Chile, y es resultado de un esfuerzo conjunto entre el Parque Astronómico Atacama, Red Universitaria Nacional (REUNA, miembro de RED CLARA), la Agencia Nacional de Investigación y Desarrollo (ANID), Observatorio ALMA y Silica Networks.
