In 2018, users of the collaboration tools of the Colombian advanced network, RENATA, generated more than 41,737 interactions through the services of VC Espresso, eNVIO, Funds and Partners, RENATA in Live and RENATA Videoconference. The network trained 1,046 members in a total of 118 sessions, to 60 of its affiliated institutions, who, thanks to the appropriation plan, learned about the potential and opportunities of the advanced network and experienced the use of the tools del Colaboratorio, the RENATA and RedCLARA platform for remotely interacting in real time with the quality, security and speed of the advanced technology network.

The Latin American Cooperation of Advanced Networks (RedCLARA), together with its member networks RAU (Uruguay), RedCUDI (Mexico), RNP (Brazil), RENATA (Colombia) and REUNA (Chile) received, on November 20, in the framework of the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of Leonardo Journal, in Montevideo, Uruguay, the prize "e-Cultura 2018" in the category "Institutional Collaboration".

The Anilla Cultural Latinoamérica - Europa invites to participate in a virtual way in the International Seminar that will be held in Uruguay on November 20, within the framework of the Celebration of the 50th anniversary of Leonardo Journal, the main international journal with peer review, focused on the use of contemporary arts, science and technology and its influence on the humanities. The Journal was founded by the pioneer scientist of NASA Frank Malina, also known for his production of multimedia and kinetic artist.

The executive director of RedCLARA, Luis Eliécer Cadenas, presented last friday, November 9, before the media and the academic community of Colombia, the ‘Building the Europe Link with Latin America’, (BELLA) project. The presentation event was held at the Club de Médicos de Colombia, in Bogotá, and was attended by Luz Miriam Díaz Patigño, executive director of RENATA (Colombia), José Palacios, president of REUNA (Chile), Eduardo Grizendi , director of Engineering and Operations of RNP (Brazil), and Raúl Galarza, administrative director of CEDIA (Ecuador).
