Ends this Tuesday, June 11, the open call for nominations of candidates to occupy 2 positions in the Program Committee of the LACNIC Technical Forum on behalf of the community. Candidates must be subscribed to at least one of the mailing lists of the FTL (Security, IPv6, Interconnection) and may be self-nominated or nominated by a third party who is subscribed to at least one of these lists.

 

 

The Program Committee of the TICAL Conference and the 3rd Latin American Meeting of e-Science published the number of proposals received in the calls for papers of the events, closed on Tuesday May 28: there were 113 in total; 105 of TICAL and 8 of the Meeting of e-Science. Mexico, with 33 proposals, and Colombia, with 29, were the most participatory countries, followed by Ecuador, Brazil and Argentina.

The Ibero-American Network for High Performance Computing (RICAP) announced the launch of its fourth call for access to HPC supercomputer resources. The call was created to allow research groups that can hardly use supercomputing clusters to carry out their projects to have access to this type of infrastructure.

An important news for those who wish to present their works in TICAL2019 and the 3rd Latin American e-Science Meeting. The deadline for the calls of the two events (Cancun, September 2 to 4) is on Tuesday, May 28, at 24h GMT. After that date, the papers will be evaluated by the Program Committee with a view to the notification of the selected ones, scheduled for July 8.
