Every October, Cybersecurity Awareness Month reminds us of the importance of staying safe online and protecting our personal data, contributing to a more secure digital environment. Since 2004, this global initiative has educated individuals and organizations on ethical digital practices and the protection of their online assets. This year, academic networks across the Americas are joining forces to provide training on relevant cybersecurity topics from the beginning of October through the end of the year.

Bella II Launches a Testbed for Experimentation in Bioinformatics and Artificial Intelligence

How do genes, proteins, and other molecules interact within the cell? How can therapeutic pathways be identified to treat complex diseases? A new BELLA II Testbed, which focuses on bioinformatics, provides an advanced research environment that combines data from various sources with Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools, helping to advance studies in biotechnology and personalized medicine.

The workshop “Connecting Minds, Transforming Realities,” which will serve as a prelude to RedCLARA’s annual meeting TICAL2025, invites researchers, academics, entrepreneurs, students, and professionals to experience a unique hands-on innovation journey. The event will take place on November 10, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., at the Hilton Cariari Hotel in San José. During the day, participants will learn how to turn ideas into real projects, explore successful methodologies from the region, and discover how research and education networks can transform concepts into concrete solutions that benefit society.

Innovation and Connectivity Set the Agenda for the 2025 Digital Transformation School

As key players in the digital ecosystem of Latin America and the Caribbean, RedCLARA and BELLA II stand out for their role in advanced connectivity, scientific collaboration, and access to technologies that drive development projects. This role will be highlighted in the 11th edition of the Digital Transformation and Innovation School 2025, which will take place at the ECLAC headquarters in Santiago, Chile, from September 8 to 11. The event will bring together experts, public policy makers, and professionals from various sectors to discuss the challenges and opportunities of digital transformation and innovation in the region.
