June 4: Webinar on Mental Health in the Digital Age
At a time when mental health is emerging as one of the most urgent priorities for health systems across Latin America and the Caribbean, the region’s University Telemedicine Network (RUTE-ALC) is launching a new edition of its webinar series to open a space for dialogue and action. On Tuesday, June 4, experts from various countries will explore how telemedicine and digital tools can serve as key allies in the comprehensive approach to mental health—particularly in communities facing high vulnerability and limited access to in-person services.
The conversation will be led by recognized voices in innovation and digital health, including Manuel Rodríguez Arce, Coordinator of the Innovation and Digital Health Component of Costa Rica’s Social Security Fund, and Diego Robles Cruz, Research Professor at the Institute of Technology for Innovation in Health and Wellbeing at Universidad Andrés Bello. The session will be moderated by Netzahualpilli Delgado Figueroa from the Health Research Directorate of the Jalisco State Health Secretariat in Mexico.
The webinar will be streamed through the Redes de Colaboração de Comunidades (RCC) platform at the following link: https://rcc.rnp.br/RUTE-ALC/aovivo. Prior registration is required. For guidance on using the platform, a tutorial video is available here: https://ajuda.rnp.br/rcc/login.
RUTE-ALC is a collaborative initiative among academic networks in Latin America and the Caribbean aimed at promoting scientific and educational cooperation in the fields of telemedicine and digital health. Member networks include CEDIA (Ecuador), CUDI (Mexico), RENATA (Colombia), REUNA (Chile), RNP (Brazil), and RedCONARE (Costa Rica), which, through their partnership with RedCLARA, support knowledge exchange and joint project development across the region.
