November 27 to 29: International Conference on Space and Sustainable Development

From November 27 to 29, 2024, the University of Chile will be the center of a prominent dialogue on space and its impact on sustainable development, welcoming leaders from the space sector, academics, and representatives from civil society at the International Conference on Space and Sustainable Development (CEDS 2024).

The Center for Mathematical Modeling (CMM), in partnership with the CopernicusLAC Chile project, a component of the university's Space Program, will organize the event at the Faculty of Physical and Mathematical Sciences of the University of Chile.

CEDS 2024 will bring together renowned international experts, including Jean-François Cretaux, Walt Everetts, and Pacome Revillon, who will address the challenges and opportunities that space presents within the framework of sustainable development. The program will include plenary sessions, discussion panels, and a poster competition, highlighting key topics such as Earth observation, space telecommunications, and international cooperation in space regulation.

The event is open to professionals, students, and organizations interested in space activities. Registration is available on the official CEDS 2024 website: https://eventos.cmm.uchile.cl/ceds2024/.
