With the participation of Thomas Skordas, Director of the Directorate of "Digital Excellence and Scientific Infrastructure" of DG CONNECT of the European Commission, Thomas Skordas, the Vice Minister of Science, Technology and Innovations of Brazil, Sergio Freitas, and the Executive Director of RedCLARA, the connectivity of the BELLA Programme was inaugurated during the opening ceremony of the eleventh version of the TICAL Conference, and of the 5th version of the Latin American e-Science Meeting that will be developed jointly and online until September 2 of 2021.

In order to support and encourage the development of technological innovation projects with an emphasis on artificial intelligence (AI) that contribute to solving priority problems, the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) invites all national research and technological development groups and groups of society in general linked to the academic sector to present research projects that require high-performance computing resources for the execution of AI algorithms with an impact on social sectors in vulnerable conditions.

The 11th edition of the TICAL Conference and the 5th of the Latin American e-Science Meeting are getting closer. The events will start on the morning of August 30th, on Monday, and will run until Thursday, September 2nd, in virtual and free of charge format for the second year, and with the confirmed participation of international authorities and speakers in addition to the expected launch of Project BELLA connectivity.
