On August 15, 2022, at 7:15 pm GMT RedCLARA will hold a panel during the AmeriGEO Week 2022 allowing relevant stakeholders and interested parties to share the challenges, opportunities and lessons they learned regarding the future of the potential synergies in a geospatial and digital world.

The Working Group on Blockchain Formation - formed by specialists from the national research and education networks (NREN) of Latin America and articulated by RedCLARA -, acting within the scope of the LACChain Alliance for the development of the Blockchain Ecosystem in Latin America and the Caribbean led by the BID-LAB, launched an introductory course on the topic, which will take place from July 25th to August 26th.

RedCLARA's Annual Report for the year 2021 is now available for download and consultation in digital version and/or PDF. Some of the topics addressed in the document are: The launch of the submarine connectivity of the BELLA Project and its impact on the region and the world, the different alliances and cooperation agreements established with institutions from other continents and the achievements of the TICAL Conference and the 5th Latin American e-Science Meeting.

During the European Development Days’ session for “The Global Gateway in Latin America and the Caribbean”, held in the evening of June 22, 2022, in Brussels, the EU Commissioner for International Partnerships highlighted the importance of BELLA for the future of collaboration between EU, Latin America and the Caribbean.

With the aim of training HPC administrators with the latest supercomputing technologies, the EU-LAC ResInfra project and the National High Performance Computing Laboratory (NLHPC) will carry out the First School of HPC Administrators in Latin America and the Caribbean. The event will be held between October 17 and 28 in Santiago de Chile.

Closes this Sunday, July 10th, the deadline to submit works and participate in the program of the Latin American Conference on High Performance Computing (CARLA 2022). The event will take place between September 26 and 30, 2022, in Porto Alegre, Brazil, with the presence of professors, researchers, specialists and graduate students from all over the world.
