National Networks and Digital Health: RUTE-ALC launches its annual session series

On 18 March, the webinar “National Networks as Key Actors in the Field of Digital Health” will take place, opening the annual series of meetings of the Special Interest Groups (SIG) on Health and Digital Health of RUTE-ALC.

The event will bring together directors and representatives of National Research and Education Networks (NRENs) from across Latin America, who will share progress and experiences on the role these networks play in advancing digital health initiatives in the region.

Within the RedCLARA ecosystem, NRENs play a fundamental role by providing advanced connectivity, specialised digital services and collaborative environments that enable the development of research, education and scientific cooperation projects among institutions in different countries.

During the session, speakers will present national perspectives on progress, priorities and operational approaches in digital health, as well as opportunities for regional cooperation driven by academic networks.

The webinar will be moderated by Paulo Lopes (RNP, Brazil) and will feature the participation of:

  • Lisandro Granville, RNP (Brazil)
  • Paola Arellano, REUNA (Chile)
  • Juan Carvallo, CEDIA (Ecuador)
  • Carlos Gamboa, RedCONARE (Costa Rica)
  • Moisés Torres, CUDI (Mexico)
  • Said Naví Lamk Beltrán, RENATA (Colombia)

The session will last 90 minutes and will include a discussion segment among the participants.
