CUDI signs an agreement with ENRICH LAC to strengthen cooperation in science, technology and innovation between Mexico and Europe

CUDI firma un acuerdo con ENRICH LAC para fortalecer la cooperación en ciencia, tecnología e innovación entre México y Europa

The University Corporation for Internet Development (CUDI) and the European Network of Research and Innovation Centres and Hubs in Latin America and the Caribbean (ENRICH LAC) have formalised an agreement aimed at strengthening multilateral cooperation in the fields of research, science, technology, innovation and entrepreneurship between Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean.

(Font: CUDI) Based in São Paulo, BrazilENRICH LAC is a private, non-profit organisation that acts as a strategic bridge between the two regions, facilitating access to new international markets for researchers, academic institutions and innovative entrepreneurs.  CUDI manages Mexico’s National Research and Education Network (NREN), which connects the country’s universities, institutes and research centres with similar networks in Europe, Asia, Oceania, North America and Latin America.

The agreement recognises the strategic role of the Support Centres for the Adoption of New Markets, organisations that assist researchers and entrepreneurs in their international expansion through specialised services such as advice on local business culture and practices, co-working spaces, administrative support for visas and registrations, regulatory guidance, and facilitating contacts with the scientific and business communities in each country.

Beyond these specific services, the partnership’s underlying aim is to foster strong alliances between Europe and Latin America in the fields of science, technology and innovation, contributing to the development of sustainable and competitive businesses, and promoting both applied research and high-impact entrepreneurship.

Strategic collaboration with a global reach
For CUDI, this agreement represents an opportunity to expand the capabilities of its network and offer its member institutions new avenues for international engagement. Through its exclusive links with regional networks worldwide, the Mexican NREN becomes a key hub for connecting Mexico’s scientific and technological talent with the European innovation ecosystem that ENRICH LAC facilitates.

The partnership, which is non-exclusive and involves no financial obligations, will initially run for 12 months, with the possibility of extension as the relationship between the two organisations develops.

This agreement reaffirms CUDI’s commitment to the internationalisation of Mexican science and to building collaborative networks that foster the country’s development within the global knowledge economy.
