CARLA 2025 Opens Early Registration and Confirms International Panelists

The international conference CARLA 2025, organized by the Advanced Computing System for Latin America and the Caribbean (SCALAC), has opened its official registration. Interested participants may register before September 8 to access the special early-bird fee.

This year, CARLA will be held for the first time in the Caribbean (Jamaica), a region that comprises more than 30 countries and territories distributed across approximately 7,000 islands. The conference will offer a diverse program that includes keynote sessions, academic and industry presentations, paper sessions, poster sessions, workshops, and tutorials, as well as spaces for discussion and networking.

Among the panelists are Dorian Arnold, Director of Graduate Studies in Computer Science and Informatics at Emory University, USA; Felix Wolf, Professor and Head of NHR4CES at TU Darmstadt, Germany; and Kate Keahey, Senior Scientist at Argonne National Laboratory and the University of Chicago, USA, along with distinguished speakers Ricardo Baeza-Yates, Director of the Artificial Intelligence Institute at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center, Spain, and Rupak Biswas, Director of Exploration Technology at NASA, USA.

CARLA 2025 also offers multiple participation opportunities for the community: workshops enable focused thematic discussions, presentations, and exchanges; scientific papers provide the opportunity to disseminate findings and innovative methodologies; tutorials help share technical concepts and best practices on emerging technologies, programming models, or optimization; and posters visually present ongoing or completed research, encouraging informal discussion and community feedback.

Since its inception in 2014, CARLA has established itself as the leading conference in the region, providing a space to share ideas, techniques, and advances in high-performance computing and its application in artificial intelligence—fields that are emerging as key drivers of innovation and development.
