The RNP 2025 Forum will take place from 15 to 18 September in Brasília.
With the theme of 'Technologies that connect and transform us', this 14th edition of the event will bring together leaders, specialists, and agents of change from the fields of education, science, health, culture, and defence.
In a world where emerging technologies are redefining every aspect of our lives, the RNP 2025 Forum, organised by the Brazilian advanced network and RedCLARA member, aims to be a strategic space for understanding, debating and co-creating the country's digital future.
Taking place at the International Convention Centre in Brasília, the Forum will provide an opportunity to connect with brilliant minds, learn about key trends in information and communication technologies (ICT) and gain a broader perspective on innovation, advanced networks and sustainability. The Forum will bring together specialists, leaders and change agents to discuss the major issues shaping the digital transformation of Brazil and the world. With both in-person and online activities, the event will facilitate debate on cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, digital infrastructure and scientific collaboration.
15 September will be reserved for closed events and special workshops with limited capacity. From 16 to 18 September, the business fair and presentation spaces will be open with a full programme that includes panels, conferences, networking meetings and collaborative experiences such as RNP+ Trends, focused on the technological innovations that are transforming higher education in Brazil.
Was everything you thought you knew about AI wrong?
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is no longer a promise for the future but a transformative force in the present. But are we really prepared to understand and apply it intelligently? Cristiano Kruel, Director of Information Technology at StartSe, will be one of the main speakers at the RNP 2025 Forum with a provocative proposal: unlearn to relearn.
In his talk, ‘Everything I understood about AI was wrong!’, Kruel argues that there is no such thing as AI, but rather many artificial intelligences, and that it is urgent to abandon technological certainties in favour of a stance of ‘courageous humility’. According to the expert, the biggest challenge is not technical, but cultural, as AI is not an IT problem, but a challenge of vision.
