From 4 to 31 of July: participate in the first BELLA Hackathon: "Copernicus Innovation Development".
The challenge is back. After the Ideathon "Copernicus Innovation Challenge" was successfully held last March, RedCLARA and the BELLA II Project, in partnership with the Copernicus Programme and the pan-European advanced network GEÁNT, are pleased to invite you to the BELLA Hackathon: "Copernicus Innovation Development", which will take place from 4 to 31 July 2023.
The objective of the Hackathon, which is aimed at research and development groups from universities and higher education institutions in Latin America, the Caribbean, and Europe, will be to propose innovative and creative solutions to the challenges posed in the two winning concept notes of the Ideathon.
Participating teams will have to select one of the challenges proposed in the Ideathon - "Satellite Data Interpreter - SADAI" or "Platform for visualization and interpretation of climate data to favor family farming in Latin American countries" (check the description on the Hackathon page) - and work on its innovative development. Later, each group will have to present a final product that evidences the development of the challenge and its possible implementation.
An expert panel will evaluate every final product and select the best three developments proposal.
The "Copernicus Innovation Development" will be held online and feature synchronous and asynchronous sessions, including training, mentoring, and working sessions and simultaneous activities at the opening and closing.
Registration will be open from 1 to 23 June at https://eventos.redclara.net/event/1134/overview. Furthermore, the Hackathon has a website where general information about the event, the details of the event, and the registration process are published.
