7 and 8 October: Join the PDI 2026 International Cybersecurity Seminar online

On 7 and 8 October 2026, the ninth edition of the PDI 2026 International Cybersecurity Seminar will take place in Chile. This event will bring together experts, public institutions, businesses and representatives from academia to address the current challenges of critical infrastructure protection and cyber-resilience.

Organised by the National Cybercrime Directorate and the National Cybersecurity Centre of the Chilean Investigative Police (PDI), and co-organised with the Federico Santa María Technical University (USM), the event will take place at the Police Investigations School and will feature the participation of national and international specialists.

The central theme of this year’s event will be ‘Protection of critical infrastructure and cyber resilience’, which is fundamental to the secure operation of essential services such as energy, transport, telecommunications, healthcare, drinking water and financial systems.

Over the course of the two-day event, participants will have the opportunity to attend presentations by experts, visit a technology fair featuring companies and institutions from the sector, take part in technical talks, view presentations on innovative work in cybersecurity and, new for this year, take part in the first Capture the Flag (CTF) competition, designed to test skills in areas such as web hacking, cryptography and digital forensics.

For RedCLARA, initiatives such as this help to strengthen regional capabilities in the field of cybersecurity, promoting the exchange of knowledge and collaboration between public bodies, research centres, universities and national research and education networks.

Participation via live stream

The community associated with the National Research and Education Networks that make up RedCLARA will be able to follow the seminar remotely via the live stream provided by Chile’s PDI on its YouTube channel and the event’s official website. Virtual participation offers researchers, academics, ICT professionals, students and digital security officers across Latin America and the Caribbean the opportunity to access specialised content and learn about international experiences in the field of cyber resilience.
