In the context of the celebration of the 5th year of the National Academic Network for Advanced Technology, RENATA, and the 9th Anniversary of the Latin American Cooperation of Advanced Networks RedCLARA, has being launched the fourth edition of the digital magazine e-Colabora.

Nine articles which reflect the collaborative and research work developed through the infrastructure of the advanced networks to promote science in the region are part of the latest edition of e-Colabora. The variety of topics of this fourth edition (the second in 2012) includes physic, social sciences, biomedicine, robotics, grids, digital repositories and environmental education, among others.

The publication, prepared by RENATA with the support of the Editorial Board and the Latin-American academic community, has become a leader in the e-Science area, both in Colombia and the region. The 29 articles in the previous three editions have received over 10,400 online consultations. Also, more than 120 members of the academic community from Venezuela, Uruguay, Mexico, Spain, Costa Rica, Chile, Argentina and Colombia have spread their scientific outputs through the magazine.

Since its first edition, e-Colabora has highlighted the collaborative work developed through the use of tools arranged on advanced technology networks. From 2013, the journal will be indexed, which is expected to achieve greater impact in spreading the work of scientists and scholars from 15 countries belonging to the Latin American Cooperation of Advanced Networks, RedCLARA, and academics in Europe, United States and Asia.
