Send your application to the OSG Grid School

Expired

Summer school Open Science Grid (OSG) will be accepting applications until 1 April, those who want to attend and learn about the power of distributed computing.

Science requires large-scale applications at present. Therefore, the use of high performance computing is a priority. For those who wish to discover the trends and learn more about the power of the Grid, OSG will open the 2011 Summer School.

The event will take place from 26 to 30 June at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. During school, participants will learn to use high-throughput computing systems (HTC), either on their own campuses or by using the Open Science Grid (OSG).

Through lectures, discussions and numerous activities, discover how HTC systems work and how to do several jobs at once and manage huge databases, among others.

The school is suitable for graduates in computer science or other sciences where distributed computing is vital for the implementation of processes. However, any person can apply to this and elect to receive payment of travel and school costs.
