Campus Network Design Training in Guatemala
ExpiredA training workshop on Campus Network Design, aimed at staff responsible for NRENs in Central America, will take place in Guatemala.
University networks are critical to the development of the National Research and Education (RNIEs) and its stability and performance. That is why those responsible for networks at various member institutions of the National Research and Education in Guatemala and Central America will have the opportunity to participate in a specialized course on Campus Network Design.
The course will be held in Guatemala City from 29 August to 2 September, and is organized by the National Research and Education of Guatemala (RAGIE) and the National Council of Science and Technology of Guatemala (CONCYT) with the Network Startup Resource Center (NSRC) and the Latin American Cooperation of Advanced Networks (RedCLARA).
The workshop, which will host the Pan American University, will focus on ensuring that the network engineers universities to develop a strategic plan for their campus networks, learn to implement the best methodologies in design and operation of networks, improve knowledge management. The main topics to be addressed are planning IP addressing, network layer 2 (switching), routing, monitoring, management and network security.
In addition to improving technical participants, the course will strengthen the community (human network) and improving communications infrastructure RAGIE and its members. The workshop instructors are recognized experts in the NSRC.
