With the moderation of Rafael Mayo García, from CIEMAT Spain, and the participation of the Executive Director of RedCLARA, Luis Eliécer Cadenas, and other important experts from the ICT universe in Ibero America, this webinar will be held with the aim of presenting the capabilities of EllaLink and the EU-LAC ResInfra project, discussing the implementation of advanced services and showing ongoing initiatives between Latin America and the Caribbean and Europe that exploit the capabilities of the Academic Network

RedCLARA and the advanced pan-European network GÉANT have just put into operation the EllaLink high connectivity cable that connects Latin America and the Caribbean with Europe. This new infrastructure offers an optimal framework for conducting collaborative research between both continents that can be articulated through funding programs such as Horizon Europe. Likewise, it allows the exploitation of advanced services offered by RedCLARA and GÉANT. On the other hand, the H2020 EU-LAC ResInfra project works to promote the shared use of research infrastructures between Europe and Latin America, for which not only EllaLink, but the entire e-Science ecosystem in both regions provides the breeding ground necessary so that synergies and collaborations are created between both continents.

The webinar will be held through the Zoom platform and once the registration is made, the connection data will be sent by mail. Participation is free, but requires registration, which can be done at https://eventos.redclara.net/event/1105/registrations/216/
