In general terms the Advanced Networks in the world are grouped according to geographical areas. Thus, The National Research and Education Networks of each county integrate consortia which, in simple terms, are bigger networks that are integrated by a greater backbone. These bigger networks in turn establish Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) or partnerships that allow them to internconnect, enabling the global interconnection of the Advanced Networks: that is the end of the barriers for the development of research, science, education and innovation.
