Who can register in the RedCLARA Portal?

  • All members of the Latin American National Research and Education Networks (NREN) which are members of RedCLARA.
  • All the researchers, academics, scientists and technology developers from the universities, institutes and research centres in Latin America which are connected to their country’s NREN.
  • All the members of the research communities that have grown under the aegis of the COMCLARA Programme in any of its versions.
  • All the members of the research communities that have been created in RedCLARA.
  • All the members of the Latin American research communities that belong to the institutions connected to RedCLARA’s member NREN.

Why register in the RedCLARA Portal?

  • By registering in RedCLARA you will be able to access free of charge the wide range of services developed to promote scientific collaboration and the development of new research initiatives. Some of these services are: VC Espresso (desktop videoconference), SIVIC (Integrated Videoconference/Multiconference System), Video on Demand, events manager (Indico) and documentation manager (DSpace).
  • In RedCLARA, access to research opportunities such as alerts about funding competitions and events, partner and training courses search, requires you to be registered in order to ensure the quality of service to our users.
  • Resources for research such as access to different programmes and competitions for the development of research and innovation initiatives, and grant management, among others, can be accessed in RedCLARA just by registering in the Portal.
  • By registering in the RedCLARA Portal you will be able to join one or more of the research communities that have grown encouraged by the network’s existence or through the COMCLARA Programme for the promotion of collaborative research in Latin America, or to create a research community in the scientific area that interests you. Within the Portal, each community has a unique collaboration space enhanced through social 2.0 tools such as the online publication of news and events, forums, instant messaging and chat rooms, among others.
  • The RedCLARA Portal promotes the development of science over our powerful regional advanced network, because we are RedCLARA +Network +Science.
