Thanks to the RedCLARA network and its connection to the pan-European advanced network GÉANT2, Latin-America is connected with Europe at 622 Mbps via the link between Sao Paulo (Brazil) and Madrid (Spain). Through the interconnections that the GÉANT2 network has with TEIN2 (Trans-Eurasia Information Network) and EUMEDCONNECT, RedCLARA can also access to the Asia-Pacific and Mediterranean region respectively.
Thanks to the WHREN-LILA project, the RedCLARA network it is also connected with the United States through the links established between the Tijuana (Mexico) node and the San Diego (USA Pacific Coast) node, and between Sao Paulo and Miami. It must be acknowledge that the link established with San Diego allows the RedCLARA network traffic to access to the Asia-Pacific connections, where CLARA also has the condition of associated member of APAN, the Asian Pacific Advanced Network.
